The process of making patches starts with creating artwork in a way that will enhance the look of the finished product. After the artwork is completed our digitizer takes the finished art and makes a computer program that can be read by our multihead computerized embroidery machines.

Patches are embroidered on a twill backing. This backing comes in many colors, although not nearly as many as does embroidery thread. Often this backing is used as one of the colors in a design, and left unembroidered. Cheap name patches are a common example of this process. This method is satisfactory for some applications. However, 100% embroidered patches exclude a higher quality appearance, are more substantial, and are what 95%+ of our customers' orders.

Once you place your order, art will be created per your specifications, or edited to embroider well, if required. You'll have an opportunity to approve, or make changes to your art before production begins. You'll receive a scan of your patch via e-mail before it's committed to production. You'll be able to make any changes you'd like, including color changes, as long as your changes conform to the approved art for the patch.
